Jackson Family Update - 2009

It seems to be true of us Jackson's... always something new happening. Moves, additions, changes. It was no different in 2009 and it looks like 2010 will follow suit. Sure keeps life an adventure!

Here's the scoop on the kids:

A delightful Stella Rose was born to Josh and Kari on February 21st who looks like her Great G'pa Jackson, especially when she smiles. After a year of loft apt. living in downtown LA they are moving back to Pasadena this week, gaining some extra space for Stella and Josh's growing ebay business. Kari helps Josh with the business and is a great mom to Stella.

Clint, Jamie and Evee continue to live in Princeton, NJ where Clint is half way through his studies at Princeton Seminary in addition to his PT position at Princeton Alliance Church. Jamie manages 2 jobs (one is the Children's Preschool Coord. at their church) and is a great mom to Evee who will be 3 in April. Evee is going to be a big sister in July!

Miles Bennett was born to Mike and Joni
on June 18 and is "all boy" capturing our hearts with his big blue eyes and smile. In Sept. Mike and Joni made a move back to San Diego where Mike is worship pastor at Grace Church of SD. Joni picked up a position as Children's Director at the church and is a great mom to Miles.

Julie loves living in the Fountain Square area of Indianapolis. She took the fall semester off, but is returning to IUPUI as a FT student for Spring semester to finish out her Environmental Science degree. She's looking forward to student life again while she continues her job as a waitress. Evee, Stella, and Miles love their Auntie Julie.

Dennis and I had a wonderful year in his role as Asst. District Supt. for the West MI District of the Wesleyan Church, but before the year was out we were in communication with Global Partners, the mission arm of the Wesleyan Church. In August we were officially installed as Europe Area Director. That means we are moving to Europe giving leadership to all the GP missionaries in 11 countries. The past 5 months have been filled with raising prayer/financial partnerships in order to make this move a reality. We are at 95% support and have been given full clearance to move ahead, believing that the remainder of our support will be supplied in the near future. As I create this post we have exactly 5 days left in the states, arriving at our new home in Budapest, Hungary on Jan. 13th.

We thank God for this new direction, His full supply, and His grace that sustains us through the transitions of life and ministry. Thankful, too, for the support and love of our family and the joy it is to be parents and grandparents.

Our blessing for you in 2010 comes from 1 Thessalonians 3:12 - May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.

Christmas Snapshots...

With 0ver 300 combined pictures between all of us, it was difficult to pick out just a few! As you can tell, grandkids took the focus :).

Stay tuned... It's a crazy week (our last in West MI), but I hope to post a couple more times in the next week with a Jackson family update and then our upcoming departure for Europe. So many details floating around in my head right now as we make final preparations for our biggest move in life and ministry ever!
