Two Holidays in One Week

It's always great to have family visit, but it's always hard to say goodbye. Tomorrow Jamie, Evee, and Iris fly back to the states. Our flat will be too quiet. We will miss the little voices that have filled our home over the past couple weeks.

This afternoon a few tears slipped out as I faced the reality of saying goodbye in the morning. It didn't help that we were decorating for Christmas with holiday music in the background. It's the earliest I have ever put out decorations, but with Evee here, how could we not? Only 5 days after Evee and I carved a pumpkin for Halloween. So, tonight the jack-o-lantern was lit up, along with our Christmas tree that looks a bit like Charlie Brown's.

So fun to hang out with Jamie... shopping, coffee, lunch out, Dutch Blitz and Speed Scrabble in the evenings, plus a couple at home movies. I will miss her.
