Facebook...

A couple weeks ago I officially joined most of the world on Facebook. I now have 151 "friends."

Love to get feedback on a couple things:
  • If you are a FB fan, tell me why you like it. What are the positive sides to FB?
  • How do you manage FB so you aren't consumed by it?
  • Which page do you read the most - home page or personal page?
  • How often do you check FB and do you read all the feeds?
Just wondering...

My blog audience must not be my FB friends :). Perhaps this would be a survey for FB.

Hi Gwen!
I love FaceBook because I can stay connected with friends near and far away. I had a friend move to IN a couple of years ago and I still feel so connected with her because of Facebook. I don't do any of the applications, join any groups, or games. I ignore all those kinds of requests and only look at it to see what is up with my friends. Many times I will run into someone I haven't seen in a while and am able to ask them about a situation that is going on in their lives because I saw it posted on FB. I check FB book about 2 times a day for about 5 minutes each. Sometimes I can go days with out checking. The only draw back I see with it all is with kids. They post sooo many pictures on FB that it's kind of sad. There is no mystery anymore...it's all out there on FB whether you want to see it or not. Thanks for the questions :) Kristi B.

I'm horrid at FB, never seem to navigate it well. I only read the daily news feed of my friends and skip the games they played. I don't play games.

After rejecting FB for 5 years, Tim finally joined and he actually really loves it, because a friends-fanatic as he is, he is SOOO happy to have found so many friends through it, esp from all over the world. =)

I agree - it's a poll for facebook friends. :)

I like it because it puts all my friends in one place, and to me it's easier than emailing. Guess I like the chatter, and I like hearing about things I wouldn't have known about otherwise. And I agree with Kristi - it's a great way to stay connected with friends all over the world!

Haha. I laughed reading the first comment because my page is all about Stella! I am a sucker for facebook being about kids!

I basically "hide" people's news feed that I don't know very well anymore (a little icon next to their feed) so that I only get info about the people I'm close to. Or you can create a "friends news feed" of people you love. Facebook has enabled me to be connected loosely with so many people around the country that I love! I'm glad you're on it now! =)
