Today is Thanksgiving . . .

I liked what Julie said today. She said, "I like Thanksgiving because it makes us realize how much we have to be thankful for." So true . . . we take so much for granted in the ordinary days of life. Mostly people we love and spend the greater part of life with in some degree or another. Do you ever notice that most people are thankful for people? People matter. That's why grace and forgiveness and "I'm sorry" and love and commitment and "I love you" and "I believe in you" and "I'm proud of you" and laughter and hugs matter in this world. Because they all have to do with the blessing of meaningful relationships.

So, today I am thankful for the special people in my life . . . Julie is one of them!

Hi Gwen, Your thoughts on Thanksgiving are great. I know that we take so many of our family and friends for granted. Thanks for reminding us to appreciate them. Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for the card.

Great to hear your insights, thanks for the reminder. I did a new thing this year and made name tags for the table and wrote a verse of thanksgiving on the back. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and appreciate their verses. It was also a great way to get me into studying the Word for those specific verses.
We saw a great movie too, Enchanted. Who babysat for Evee when you went to the movies?

Erica,

Great idea for Thanksgiving dinner. Maybe I'll take that idea and do something similar for Christmas.

Actually, Evee went to the first movie with us (she slept all the way through it) and since Clint saw the movie Bella at the Heartland Film Festival in Indy, he stayed with Evee so Jamie could see it.
